THE FATE OF THE HAN DYNASTY IS IN YOUR HANDS!

In the final years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, under the reign of Emperor Ling, ten eunuchs in the imperial palace abused their power. The country was in a dreadful state of affairs; bandits began an uprising, and the people were in turmoil.

The emperor asked the lords of the land to crush the rebellion, but this only resulted in a race for power. After Dong Zhuo usurped the throne only to be quickly defeated, civil war erupted.

Finally, it was Cao Cao who took control of the emperor, commanding the lords in his name. After years of harsh fighting, Cao Cao united the north and prepared to conquer the south in an attempt to unite all of China.

Liu Bei, the fate of the Han Dynasty is in your hands! Will you linger in fear, waiting for death to find you? Or will you take a stand against the evil forces of Cao Cao? Don't hesitate; take your five tiger generals and rush to destroy the enemy!

   XU HUANG
There's a tale behind the reason Xu Huang joined Cao Cao's ranks. After Dong Zhuo was assassinated, his minions scattered, though a few generals who still had some military power occupied their own territories and fought with each other. Guo Fan and Lee Jue were two such examples. One of them captured the emperor, while the other took control over the nobles and officials. They fought each other outside Chang'an. Both of them completely disregarded the Emperor Han Xian, so a group of people still loyal to the emperor came to save him. They were led by Yeng Feng and Dong Cheng. Yeng Feng's main general was Xu Huang.

After a long battle, they finally rescued the emperor and brought him back to Luoyang. However, Guo Fan and Lee Jue chased after them, arriving at Luoyang as well. At this time, Cao Cao also hed his army to Luoyang to save the emperor. He successfully defeated the two rebellious generals, making the emperor quite happy. Thus, Cao Cao became close to the emperor and was highly trusted.

However, Cao Cao's actions infuriated Yeng Feng, who believed that Cao Cao had stolen his reward for all the hard work he'd put into getting the emperor safely back to Luoyeng. Thus when Cao Cao was on his way to move the capital to Xuchang, Yeng Feng ordered Xu Huang to intercept him. Cao Cao ordered Xu Chu to duel with Xu Huang, but the result was a stalemate. Cao Cao was surprised to see how good Xu Huang was, so, looking for able men, immediately ordered Man Chong to persuade Xu Huang to join him. Finally, Man Chong was able to make Xu Huang surrender to Cao Cao. His betrayal caused severe damage to Yeng Feng's military power. In the end, Cao Cao peacefully brought the emperor to Xuchang and manipulated him in order to control the whole kingdom.

If it weren't for Xu Huang's surrender to Cao Cao, Yeng Feng would have used all the power he had to interfere with Cao Cao's plans. Then, Cao Cao would not have been able to persuade the emperor to change the location of the capital, meaning he may not have gained all of his political power. So of course, Xu Huang's contribution to Cao Cao's success cannot be overlooked.

Later on, as Zhuge Liang waged his northern campaign, Xu Huang was hit in the head with an arrow shot by Meng Da, and he died. He had lived to the age of fifty-nine.
