THE FATE OF THE HAN DYNASTY IS IN YOUR HANDS!
In the final years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, under the reign of Emperor Ling,

in a dreadful state of affairs; bandits began an uprising, and the people were

quickly defeated, civil war erupted.
Finally, it was Cao Cao who took control of the emperor, commanding the
lords in his name. After years of harsh fighting, Cao Cao united the north
and prepared to conquer the south in an attempt to unite all of China.

CAO CAO |
Because most people knew more about the Three Kingdoms era from the novel
Romance of the Three Kingdoms rather than from the actual historical record,
Cao Cao was given a bad name. Most people have a poor impression of him,
and view him purely as an antagonist. But the real Cao Cao not only knew
about poetry, he was also a great military leader. Even Zhuge Liang said that
the way Cao Cao led his was army was like that of the famed tactician Sun Wu,
from the ancient Kingdom of Wu, who wrote the famed book Sun Tzu Tactics. He
was a man who Napoleon admired, which in turn shows how skilled Cao Cao
actually was.
If it wasn't for his great loss to Zhuge Liang in the battle of Chibi,
Cao Cao would have likely united all of China. When comparing the three
rulers, we can see that Sun Quan acquired his position through inheritance
from his father, while Liu Bei acquired his mostly from luck. Only Cao Cao
got his, piece by piece, through his own hard work. He couldn't be matched by
the other two in terms of accomplishments.
While Cao Cao was still young, he visited Xu Shao, a man known for his
summation of others. Xu Shao gave him a positive summation, calling him,
A great official in times of peace, a cunning hero in times of chaos.
Before Dong Zhuo was defeated, Cao Cao portrayed a favorable image. Not only
did he fight against the Yellow Turban bandits, but he also tried to assassinate
Dong Zhuo. In addition, he issued a letter to all of the lords of the land to
form an army to rescue the emperor from Dong Zhuo. At this time, there was no
evidence that he would one day be called stealer of the kingdom.
But once Dong Zhuo was defeated, it was clear that the royal family of Han
could no longer control the kingdom. The lords of the land no longer accepted
orders from the emperor; all they did was fight amongst themselves to try and
gain more power. In such an age of chaos, people often lost control of themselves.
Cao Cao was no different, as he was absorbed into this whirlpool of history.
Despite being surrounded by many strong foes, he finally defeated Yuan Shao,
Lü Bu, Yuan Shu, and many others, to unite northern China. After this, his
heart changed. Maybe it was because the power he gained corrupted him, or it
may have been that he realized the end of the Han Dynasty was irreversible.
The land was waiting for those who were capable, and so maybe it was Cao Cao's
destiny to be that man. Whatever the reason, he became more prideful and forceful
from that day forward. The cunning hero in times of chaos had finally shown
his true self.
It is possible for any person to start losing, when their desires get the
best of them. Cao Cao, who was very self-confident, finally had a huge
pitfall at the hands of Sun Quan and Liu Bei, who he once had thought of as
mere pests. His loss at Chibi shook the foundation of his power, and for
the time being he no longer had the power to unite all of China. Therefore,
the stage of the Three Kingdoms was set.
